Design, organization and facilitation of the Grenoble Alpes Métropole Metropolitan Citizens' Convention for Climate

The national Citizens' Convention for Climate inspired several regions to replicate the experience at their own level, notably the Grenoble Metropolitan Area. Grenoble was one of the first to adopt a Metropolitan Climate Plan in 2005. It has updated this plan regularly and sought to involve citizens to further strengthen the actions outlined in its latest plan. This is why 100 people, representing the diversity of the population from the 49 municipalities of the Metropolitan Area, were brought together over five weekends to formulate proposals aimed at:
Assist the Convention's Operational Committee (an independent body appointed by the President of the Metropolis) in designing the program and the conduct of work , organizing the various sessions and facilitating .
Supporting speakers and experts in preparing their presentations and interventions
Facilitating the Convention sessions : plenary session, group work, subgroup work, feedback session
Reporting on the work of the Convention: drafting summaries and reports, supporting members in drafting their visions
Make available the online dialogue platform Jenparle , intended for the 100 citizens and all governance bodies.
