Context

The Pôle Métropolitain de l'Artois (PMA), a joint association of three Pas-de-Calais conurbation communities and the Pas-de-Calais département, has called on the Une Fabrique de la Ville - Res publica consortium to help it manage complex urban and regional projects.

Res publica's role is to support the PMA in monitoring the Euralens labeling process and the Quality Circle. More specifically, Res publica is involved in designing, organizing and leading the involvement of the region's young people in the projects carried out by the Artois Metropolitan Cluster, through the Euralens label, the Cercle de qualité and the Grands Forums.

Missions

• Design, organization and running of a youth committee:
  Res publica created and ran an annual high school committee, which became a youth committee as part of the Euralens label award process. Students from the region's general, technological and vocational high schools were brought together to audition project leaders applying for the Euralens label awarded by the PMA. The latest edition brought together nearly 80 young people from 8 high schools. The opinion of the High School Committee completes that of the Expert Committee and the Technical Committee.

• Involving young people in the Cercle de qualité's reflections:
  The Pôle Métropolitain de l'Artois has a Cercle de qualité made up of 18 experts from a variety of disciplines. The PMA asked Res publica to involve the region's young people (aged 11-25) in the Quality Circle's work cycle on changes in the production system, in order to provide them with food for thought. To achieve this, Res publica is carrying out the following actions in three phases:
  - Diagnosis: design, distribution and analysis of a large-scale questionnaire via the Jenparle platform
  - Deepening: design, facilitation and feedback from a workshop with young people to analyze the questionnaire responses and collectively define solutions and proposals to be submitted to the experts.
  - Restitution by young people of their work at the Cercle de qualité and at a Grand Forum.
