Context

France Télévisions is a group that encompasses several television channels and digital services. Its primary mission is to provide high-quality information , promote culture and linguistic diversity , and ensure fair representation of different political, social, and cultural perspectives . As a public service broadcaster, France Télévisions is subject to strict regulatory constraints, particularly regarding funding, which is partly based on the television license fee. The group also has significant climate responsibilities , notably through the promotion of environmental education programs and the dissemination of information on climate issues, thereby contributing to raising public awareness and mobilizing public opinion on these crucial matters.

As a company , France Télévisions emits greenhouse gases and must, in the coming years, significantly reduce its emissions to contribute to France's efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. This obligation applies to all of the group's activities .

France Télévisions management own roadmap for decarbonizing its operations. That's why Delphine Ernotte Cunci, its president , stated during her New Year's address for 2025 that she wanted to " organize extensive consultations with employees to gather very concrete proposals for developing a roadmap for the coming years " in order to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
