Territorial health project: South Manche Health, the territorial health project that unites stakeholders with the Avranches-Granville Hospital Center

The Avranches-Granville Hospital Center, the lead institution of the Mont-Saint-Michel Territorial Hospital Group, sought to complement its institutional medical plan with a territorial health strategy for South Manche, developed in close consultation with the entire region.
The objective was to improve the provision and operation of healthcare services in the area, going beyond purely hospital-related issues. Indeed, the main dysfunctions identified by users and professionals stemmed from coordination problems between stakeholders, particularly between the hospital and community-based healthcare providers. Therefore, considering that the region's residents, as current or potential patients, are the key stakeholders in a territorial health strategy, the Avranches-Granville Hospital Center (CHAG) aimed to engage in broad dialogue with the entire region.
To allow all users of the territory, whether professional or not, to express themselves.
To build a very open approach to arrive at a project built and shared by the whole territory and not just the hospital.
Create a "South Manche Health" community, promoting meetings between healthcare professionals who did not know each other.
Enriching the debates by comparing the viewpoints of the general public and healthcare professionals from different backgrounds.
Design and manage two online consultation platforms: one open to all and one reserved for healthcare professionals.
Access to dialogue for the entire population, within the framework of an approach usually limited to a few working groups between hospital professionals.
The concerns of the general public were used as a starting point for the construction of a strategy by health actors, with the work of the former serving to enrich that of the latter.
Experimenting with unexplored facilitation methods in the health field, such as the prospective workshop.
