The Hospices Civils de Lyon (Lyon University Hospitals) have launched a participatory process to develop an ambitious institutional project, in consultation with all stakeholders. This process builds upon existing transformations and new structural actions to be implemented, defining a transformation roadmap for the next 10 years and shaping the hospital of the future.
The aim of this approach was to renew the practices of the University Hospital by involving employees and partners in the development of its strategic plan, using a collective intelligence .
In partnership with Alcimed, Res publica supported the project team in designing a hybrid participatory process that mobilized a diverse range of partners and professionals, combining in-person forums and online discussions. Innovative collective intelligence methods were developed for each forum and online discussion to explore possible futures and chart a trajectory for the evolution of the Hospices Civils de Lyon.
