Convention of employees and activists on MAIF's 10-year vision

MAIF has undertaken a review of its strategic vision and ten-year political project, in a context marked by profound changes in its environment: transformation of customer relationships, climate challenges, diversification of its activities, and questions surrounding external growth. As a
purpose-driven company, MAIF has long been committed to a democratic and participatory culture, involving its various stakeholders in the development of its strategic directions. Following on from the "The Audacity of Trust" manifesto, management sought to deepen this approach by implementing a deliberative democracy mechanism involving employee activists and members.
The aim was both to generate concrete and useful input to enrich the Vision project, to identify blind spots in strategic thinking, and to strengthen the legitimacy of decisions through structured dialogue between MAIF's various social groups. In addition, MAIF wanted to broaden this reflection to all its members through an online consultation, in order to compare and prioritize the recommendations resulting from the deliberative process.
MAIF entrusted Res publica with supporting two key aspects of updating its strategic vision:
- organizing and facilitating a Vision Convention bringing together 48 participants (employees and activists), tasked with producing a shared opinion to inform the company's political and strategic project;
- designing and implementing a complementary digital consultation, via the Jenparle platform, to involve members in prioritizing the recommendations stemming from the Convention.
Our actions:
management and leadership of the mission, in close collaboration with the MAIF teams,
Design of the Vision Convention and definition of the deliberative framework and expected outcomes of the process,
The random selection of 48 participants (employees and activists) was carried out, based on criteria designed to reflect the diversity of MAIF's social bodies.
Preparation and facilitation of two face-to-face working sessions : contributions from expert speakers, collective intelligence workshops, identification of key areas for reflection and collective drafting of the opinion.
Design and facilitation of two intermediate webinars to discuss contributions and finalize the drafting of the document,
Preparation and facilitation of the presentation of the Convention's work to the Board of Directors,
Design and deployment of the digital consultation of members via the Jenparle platform (questionnaire, collection and analysis of contributions).
