Context

The municipality of Rédange (57) is the subject of a development project for 350 housing units, led by EPA Alzette-Belval, on the border with Luxembourg. The TER group, of which Res publica is a member, has been tasked with developing the master plan in consultation with elected officials and residents.

Missions

• Develop an operational strategy adapted to the context to involve elected officials in the governance of the EPA project

• To generate useful material for determining the typological supply of housing in the cross-border context

• Involving local residents in the future of their community, whose population is expected to double in the coming years due to urban development projects, will inform the development of the master plan.

Innovative dimensions of the approach

• Organizing an exchange of experiences between elected officials, landlords and developers,

• A visit to two inspiring housing projects in Chanteloup -en-Brie (77)

• Adapting the on-site tour in the context of Covid, with the creation of an audio podcast and a self-supporting booklet
