Consultation on the Aix-Marseille-Provence Territorial Food Project: leveraging the agri-food wealth of the region at the local level by involving all stakeholders

On October 17, 2016, the metropolitan council unanimously approved the principle of developing a Territorial Food Project (PAT) for the Bouches-du-Rhône region. This project is jointly led by the Arles Regional Authority and supported by the Bouches-du-Rhône Department. The PAT aims to make a major contribution to the organization and future of a region with 2 million inhabitants and 150,000 hectares of usable agricultural land, promoting the production and consumption of healthy, sustainable, and locally sourced food. This is a collaborative approach developed with public and private stakeholders in the region.
