Context

The Artois Metropolitan Area (PMA), a joint association comprising three urban communities in the Pas-de-Calais region and the Pas-de-Calais Department, has called upon the consortium Une Fabrique de la Ville – Res publica to support it in managing complex urban and territorial projects .

Res publica's role is to assist the PMA in monitoring the Euralens certification process and the Quality Circle . More specifically, Res publica is involved in designing, organizing, and facilitating initiatives to engage local youth in projects led by the Artois Metropolitan Area, through the Euralens certification process, the Quality Circle, and the Grand Forums.

Missions

• Design, organization, and facilitation of a youth committee:
  Res publica created and facilitated an annual high school student committee, which became the youth committee within the framework of the Euralens labeling . Students from various general, technological, and vocational high schools in the region were brought together to interview project leaders applying for the Euralens label awarded by the PMA (Pays de Montbéliard Agglomeration). The last session brought together nearly 80 young people from 8 high schools. The opinion of the high school student committee complements that of the expert committee and the technical committee.

• Youth Involvement in the Quality Circle's Deliberations:
  The Artois Metropolitan Area (PMA) has a Quality Circle composed of 18 experts from various disciplines. The PMA asked Res publica to extensively involve local youth (ages 11-25) in the Quality Circle members' work cycle focused on the transformations of the production system, in order to enrich their discussions. To this end, Res publica is conducting the following actions in three phases:
  - Diagnostic: design, distribution, and analysis of a large-scale questionnaire via the Jenparle platform
  - In-depth Analysis: design, facilitation, and feedback session for a workshop with young people to analyze the questionnaire responses and collectively define solutions and proposals to submit to the experts
  - Presentation of their work by the young people to the Quality Circle and at a Grand Forum
