Consultation on the feelings of the inhabitants of the Espace Catalan Transfrontalier territory
The Espace Catalan Transfrontalier (EsCaT) corresponds to a cross-border catchment area formed by the Pyrénées-Orientales department and the comarques of the Girona province. Convinced of the potential and importance of the region's specific challenges, the Pyrénées-Orientales department, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputació de Girona have been working together for a long time on its development, collaborating on various projects and supporting the initiatives undertaken by the EsCaT's driving forces.
Today, these partners have succeeded in convincing the European Union, which recognizes the specific characteristics of this cross-border region. It has decided to support the three local authorities in the implementation of an experimental territorial approach in favor of EsCaT. Over the next 6 years, several thematic calls for projects will be launched and financed by European funds to help strengthen cross-border cooperation.
Our mission is to initiate a wide-ranging citizen consultation with the following objectives:
- Facilitate mass participation in the citizens' consultation by alternating online and face-to-face participation methods within a constrained timeframe
- Offer citizens and stakeholders a space for information and awareness-raising on cross-border issues
- Encourage the gathering of expectations and ideas from local residents to prepare a call for European projects
- The particularity of this mission lies in its multi-partner and multilingual support.
